Eyes Image (11k)Hornbill

The enlarged bills of
toucans and hornbills
are ornate, pigmented,
and used in mating
displays, yet the two
birds are not related.
Toucans live in the
American tropics;
hornbills come from
Africa. That similar
birds, like toucans
and hornbills, exist
in different forests
means that each is
a product of its own
environment.
